Going From Good To GREAT...

Having just finished our busiest week of the year, building 9 homes, This week we have changed the pace a little. We took our management team away for a 3 day retreat, starting the process of learning how to be great.
Following the principles set out in the famous Jim Collins book - Good To Great. We learnt things like "Good is the Enemy of Great" and  "Why what we say "NO" to is more important than what we say "YES" to" we learnt "How to discover our Hedgehog concept" and "How to really face the brutal facts of our current reality" among other things... and if you have not read the book, i highly recommend it. It is relevant and life changing for Business, Charities, Churches and even for your personal life.
Along with our leadership team, we were joined by our board Member Mike Kemper, a long term friend of YWAM and very experienced businessman. Mike shared his wealth of experience with us as he steered us through the process of learning how to be great. It was an amazing few days and i think its the beginning of a new stage of focus and excellence in our ministry.... watch this space...
