Congratulation to Micah who graduated High School last week. He's overcome a lot to get there. Please be praying for him, as he starts to think about his future.

Its been 10 years since we started dreaming about the the future our YWAM Ensenada facility, and how  we can best use and steward the land that God has given us. 

The Las Olas building is  across the street from the Pacific Ocean. This building will have a community facing café and office for community transformation on the street level. Auditorium for 300 people, kitchen and dining for our staff, students and events, along with 3 large classrooms, and other meeting spaces. We believe this building with its architectural design and creative elements will speak life, hope and inspiration to the city of Ensenada. 

The name "Las Olas" means "The Waves" honoring Loren Cunninghams original vision of YWAM of Young People coming from Every Nation to share the gospel of Jesus and bring hope and healing to all. You can also see the reflection of the Waves crashing on the beach in the windows.

The Center is due to open in September. Please pray with us as we get everything ready to bring the building online, and that through this tool, we would be able to bring more hope to the city of Ensenada.

I am entering the final stages of my Masters program. This week i am studying with my cohort in Madrid, Spain. It has been an honor to spend these last 18 months learning and growing with an amazing group of Leaders from all over the YWAM family. This week we are learning from renowned author and clinical psychologist Jim Wilder.

The final part of the program is writing and defending my thesis, of which i am studying the growth of the university of the nations (YWAM's global university and training arm)

Our Graduation is at the UofN Kona Campus in September.

One of Sam's passions over the last few years has been to help birthing Mum's go through labor, she has trained as a Doula and spent some time assisting a midwife here in Ensenada. She has a real heart to help  under privileged mums as they give birth and navigate the public health system.
While Sam was in Cape Town she got  she got to work with the Zoe Project, which is helping mums every day give birth in the public hospitals. Sam goes to work in three different hospitals and some of the poorest and roughest parts of Cape Town. She met with many mums, and have the privilege of helping birth seven babies over the week.
One beautiful touch was while she was there she borrowed a scrub top from another staff member whose name was Susan. Sam became known as Nurse Susan by our team. Susan was her mom's name who passed away eight years ago. Sue was also a nurse so she felt it was an honor serve in the name of her mum.

Manila - Philippines. In September, Tym went to the Philippines to be part of YWAM together. This was a global conference of YWAM Leaders, Staff, and students from around the world. Attending were 5000 people from 197 different nations. This is one of the biggest gatherings in Ywam's 64-year history. Hearing from so many YWAM leaders, including our cofounder, Darlene Cunningham, was a great privilege. Tym's role was production manager for the event, looking after all of the technical production for the event. It was an honor to serve the entire ministry at this level. And, of course, there are lots of fun toys to play with!!!

CAPE TOWN - In October we went to the next Masters intensive, this time in Cape Town in South Africa. We were joined by two other cohorts from Asia and Africa. With the 97 Students from 50+ Nations, with everything being translated into six different languages. We learned about  innovation and mercy, justice and reconciliation. We learned that as leaders, its our job to co-create  with God to solve problems and to bring Mercy and Justice to the world.
