Since 2000 we have been serving in missions in different places around the world. CLICK HERE to see a timeline of our journey so far.
We had our first trip to Mexico in 2001 on a short term trip to Juarez. The whole family immediately fell in love with the country and knew that one day we'd be back.
Over the past years we have had our hearts and passions stirred for issues of Mercy, Justice, Bringing Hope, Loving the Orphans and discipleship.
In 2005, when we were looking at our next step in life, we knew that Mexico needed to be place to go.
The work of YWAM San Diego / Baja fitted our goals and missions, so in January 2006, we packed up and came out to Ensenada Mexico to help bring hope to the people of Mexico.

YWAM San Diego Baja

Homes Of Hope

Addressing the immense need for adequate housing for families in the Northern Baja area of Mexico. The first small teams visited in 1988. Since those early trips, nearly 60,000 volunteers have served and helped over 190,000 people via community service projects and built over 2000 homes with the Homes of Hope program.
In the past few years, the Homes of Hope program has been replicated by YWAM entities in the cities of Guadalajara, Juarez, Cancun, Mazatlan, and Culiacan.

Students come to Ensenada for 3 months for teaching and training, and then they are off on outreach for 2 months. Some of the places we have been are: Guatemala, Peru, Colombia, Panama and other parts of Mexico.

Revolucion Youth Ministry

Revolucion was started in 2005 by a young couple on the YWAM staff with a heart for the young people of Ensenada. Their goal is to organize events to create safe environments and to show love to the young people of the town. Alongside the events, we have a skate park on the base along with a mobile skate park to take into the colonias.

Project Deborah

Project Deborah exists to help families with special needs children. Here in Mexico, there are many families with children who’ve been diagnosed with debilitating conditions such as Cerebral Palsy or Down Syndrome, many of whom do not have access to the medical treatment, support, or training that a family would have across the border in the United States. These families are often in very hopeless situations, but they have the desire to give their children a better life. Often times it is comforting just to know that they are not alone, and that there are other families who are dealing with the same things.
