Summer of Travel

BRAZIL - This summer has been a busy time of travel for us. In June we were in Brazil on a 2 week intensive with Tyms masters program. Joining with the 24 other students, from 10 different nations on our Americas Cohort. We studied together for two weeks down in the south of Brazil at the YWAM Aguias Campus in Curitiba. We spent the two weeks studying community development and we learned, that as leaders, if we are willing to inconvenience ourselves for the sake of others we can bring transformation in every area of society. After our time in Curitiba, we spent a few day visiting friends in Rio.

CAPE TOWN - In October we went to the next Masters intensive, this time in Cape Town in South Africa. We were joined by two other cohorts from Asia and Africa. With the 97 Students from 50+ Nations, with everything being translated into six different languages. We learned about  innovation and mercy, justice and reconciliation. We learned that as leaders, its our job to co-create  with God to solve problems and to bring Mercy and Justice to the world.

Paris - we had a special treat on our way back from South Africa as we had a layover in Paris. We had the privilege of catching up with a staff member from Ensenada who we had sent out a few years ago to Pioneer a Ministry in Paris. We were so excited to hear all that she was doing and the transformation that she was bringing to the fashion industry. An industry that is normally known for ego, power and money. Lizbeth's work is helping transform a dark industry into an industry full of love and celebration of beauty and God's creation.

ENGLAND - Finally, we got a chance to stop in England and visit the family and spend some awesome time with our little grandson Arlo. During the time we spoke in four different churches and traveled around the country. It was great to catch up with many people and we were sad to not be able to go and visit everyone that we wanted to. Next time.​
