We lead a very interesting life here in Mexico. Constantly relying on God and other peoples generosity to provide for our families needs. I have a principle though. If i am expecting other people to help with my families needs, then i need to be over generous and be constantly looking to help other peoples needs. ![]() This is a great principle, until you are challenged to give away something like YOUR CAR... Our trusty black van has been an awesome machine since we first moved here in 2006. Unfortunatly it only has 7 seats, so we have outgrown it. When we adopted the new kids, we were really blessed with some money that enabled us to buy an even bigger van to fit the whole tribe. The only problem with the big van is the fuel costs. We were paying over $15 per day in Gas, just to get the kids to school. Our plan was to sell the black van, and with the money buy a small runaround that would be cheap on gas. So when we are presented with someone elses need for a car, we realised we could have the answer. This would be inconvienient for us, and would mean sacrificing the money from the sale of the van, but in the end we decided it was the right thing to do. We handed over the keys and thanked God for his provision. ![]() Just a few days after we had given the keys away, one of my collegues came up to me, not knowing we had given our van away, asking me if we wanted a minivan. His family were leaving the country and wanted to bless someone else with the car. We were BLOWN AWAY. Its perfect for what we want. Its cheap to run, Jacob can learn to drive in it (SCARRY) and it was Free. Just See what can happen when you are trusting god for your Provision... www.thekemps.me.uk |
