 I know many of you have been following our journey with Micah and Tianna over this past year since we attended the family camp in Washington last June. It has been a very hard year mentally and physically putting everything into practice that we learned in dealing with kids with attachment disorder. We had to totally relearn how to parent Micah and Tianna in the way they needed. We went in 110% with the program as we could not afford to waste more time. We focused on Micah first most intensely and the change has been amazing. He has stopped raging, biting, hitting out at everyone and breaking things. He no longer walks round in circles, or crawls on the floor talking to himself. He sleeps well at night and does not take 3 hrs to do it. And no longer thrashes around or sweats all night. All in all he is a much more pleasant child to be around. All this we could not have done without the support of our friends...So we are carrying on with the process. Next Saturday, May 18th, Sam, Micah & Tianna, head of to Washington a second time. This time they start with 2 weeks of intensive Neuro therapy, followed by attending the family camp again. We are so blessed that we are being give huge discounts and some free sessions but this whole trip is still going to cost us around $4000. This therapy is Key to the healing process and there is nothing like this available in Mexico. Micah is 8 years old now, and still unable to read and write. We think this is a big piece needed in the puzzle for Micah and are praying that in September, he will be ready to return to school and a embark on his life of learning.
