The 2025 Annual report is ready. Read all the amazing things that God has done through the ministry of YWAM San Diego / Baja over the past year - Enjoy  You may have seen on social media that for over a year, I have been working on putting together a YWAM Americas gathering. For the first time in 13 years, we had a gathering, which involved all of YWAM from Canada all the way down to Argentina. Last week, we had 800 YWAM missionaries from 53 nations getting together in Panama to seek God and commit to going to places that we haven’t been yet. It was an incredible amount of work putting the event together, with Tym visiting Panama 5 times in the last year. During the event, Sam ran the event logistics while Tym was in his happy place, looking after the event production. It was an amazing time of connection and worship, culture, music, dancing, fellowship, and challenge. It was such a joy to be able to serve the wider ministry in this way.   Tianna has just finished her time on outreach in Malawi, and we are so proud of her willingness to serve wherever God leads and to stand up and go to hard places to take the gospel.
She has had many outreach and discipleship opportunities while experiencing firsthand what God is doing in another part of the world. We love how much this season has deepened her faith and shaped her understanding of God’s heart for the nations. Thanks to everyone who has been part of her DTS journey and helped get her to Norway and Malawi. As she finishes the DTS, we would love your prayers for wisdom and guidance as she prays about her future and looks for opportunities for ministry and study. Noah recently got engaged to Regina… and not long after, they got married! It was definitely a short engagement, but we are so happy for them as they begin this new season together. Although married, they are still living at home with us, while Noah finishes his Psychology degree. Although things may change, they are currently working on a plan over the next couple of years to move to the UK for Noah to carry on his education and to work on Regina’s UK papers. Dont worry, there will be a party. Planning on having a full wedding celebration next year. It is amazing (and slightly emotional!) watching your children step into adulthood and the next chapter of life. When we first stepped into this journey two decades ago, we could never have imagined all that God would do and that we would be involved in. We came as a young family with 4 small kids. Only planning on being here for a short-term assignment. We now have 5 adult kids and 1 teenager. 3 of them are married, and one grandson. We are so grateful for the privilege of serving alongside incredible teams, students, and leaders. Working all over Mexico and having the opportunity to serve in many other nations around the world. Over the past 20 years, we have helped build thousands of homes for families in need. We have been part of training hundreds of students through our discipleship programs, many of whom are now serving around the world as missionaries, leaders, and righteous influencers in the spheres of society. It has been a journey of faith, challenge, growth, sacrifice, adventure, and so many testimonies of God’s faithfulness. It may have been 20 years, but there is still more to come… |
