New Home... 11/03/2010
![]() Over the past few years we have thought many times about buying our own home in Ensenada. As some of you know, our current apartment on the YWAM base is very small and after 5 years with 6 kids all squashed into our tiny home, we think it is time to move out. We have looked at a few houses to rent or buy over the past years, but they’ve either been too small, overpriced, too far from the YWAM base, or we just don’t like it. We had almost stopped looking, when suddenly the PERFECT HOUSE is available. There are many unknowns as we look into financing and all the other details. Honestly, we need to see a miracle happen. Please pray with us as we begin this new venture. We know that Having our own home here would really increase our effectiveness and longevity here in Mexico. Making us better at what we do... Add Comment Adoption Update - It's Contagious 07/09/2010
It's funny how the strangest things can seam like they're contagious. We have good friends who run a YWAM location over in Conneticut. Over the years MANY of the families in that ministry have adopted children from all over the world. It is also partly through their influence, that we started to look at adoption. ![]() With our adoption of Micah & Tianna now nearly 3 years into the process, the end is nearly in sight, We now have our own spout of families pursuing adoptions here in Mexico. Currently we have 3 other families in the process of adopting Mexican children. One family from our San Diego office are adopting a 10 year old girl from Juarez. Our Neighbours Steve & Gemma are adopting through DIF in Ensenada, and Tammy & Eddie are pusuing the adoption of young Esthela. The Girl they helped get through a Kidney transplant 2 years ago. Who now needs another one. Here is a video of their story... Please be praying for us and the other families as we fight to do justice, and give these children no less than they deserve; the love of a Mum & Dad. If you want to know more about any of the stories, or would like to help in any way, Then please GET IN TOUCH Warning, don't come too close, or you may catch the adoption vibe too... Latest E-Blast is available Online 06/12/2010

If you have not recieved it yet, you can view in online HERE We are also getting ready for our summer Snail Mail newsletter. Please spend a few minutes online and give us your details for our Database. HERE We lead a very interesting life here in Mexico. Constantly relying on God and other peoples generosity to provide for our families needs. I have a principle though. If i am expecting other people to help with my families needs, then i need to be over generous and be constantly looking to help other peoples needs. ![]() This is a great principle, until you are challenged to give away something like YOUR CAR... Our trusty black van has been an awesome machine since we first moved here in 2006. Unfortunatly it only has 7 seats, so we have outgrown it. When we adopted the new kids, we were really blessed with some money that enabled us to buy an even bigger van to fit the whole tribe. The only problem with the big van is the fuel costs. We were paying over $15 per day in Gas, just to get the kids to school. Our plan was to sell the black van, and with the money buy a small runaround that would be cheap on gas. So when we are presented with someone elses need for a car, we realised we could have the answer. This would be inconvienient for us, and would mean sacrificing the money from the sale of the van, but in the end we decided it was the right thing to do. We handed over the keys and thanked God for his provision. ![]() Just a few days after we had given the keys away, one of my collegues came up to me, not knowing we had given our van away, asking me if we wanted a minivan. His family were leaving the country and wanted to bless someone else with the car. We were BLOWN AWAY. Its perfect for what we want. Its cheap to run, Jacob can learn to drive in it (SCARRY) and it was Free. Just See what can happen when you are trusting god for your Provision... www.thekemps.me.ukSwine Flu and other things... 05/05/2009
Thanks for all your concerned phone calls and emails over the past week, with regards to the swine flu outbreak. For the record, WE ARE ALL OK!! ![]() Life in Ensenada is pretty much "Business as usual" with the exception of the schools being closed for the past 2 weeks. As you can imagine, the kids are very upset about that! The only difference about the town is things are alot quieter. ![]() At the same time the cruiseships are still coming to Ensenada, but instead of coming into port, they are anchoring out in the bay. Again affecting the local people who rely on the tourist trade to feed thier families At YWAM, we are also seeing things slowing down. Again because of the percieved health threat of crossing the border, we are seeing our teams dropping out drastically for the next few months. This is heart wrenching to see as each team that drops out represents family that will have to wait a bit longer for a new home. We currently have over 200 families on our books waiting for a place to call home. Happy New Year...all change again... 01/03/2009
![]() Happy New Year to Everyone. Desptite political change and some financial uncertainty, i pray that 2009 is an awesome year for you. As seen in the pictures, over Christmas we had a great opportunity to help host some teams. This was one of our biggest events of the year. with over 120 people building 5 homes. New Season, New School, New Office.... 09/29/2008
![]() Last week saw the start of our new Discipleship training school. 16 Students from the USA, Germany, Cananda and our first ever students from India and Japan, arrived to take part in our 5 month training school. They'll spend 3 months studying here in Ensenada, and then they're off on outreach to Peru in South America. Pictured above is Sarvia and Amanda, some of our amazing staff who'll be leading the school. This is a new season in more ways than one. Not only are we running a school here in Ensenada, but for the first time, we also have a school running at one of our other campuses in Tijuana. Homes of Hope season has started and we have a very busy October coming up. Many families will be reciving new homes in the coming months. Tym, until December, is working as Acting Campus Director and is starting to settle into his new role and all the challenges it brings. | CategoriesAll ArchivesDecember 2011 Newsletters
